How it all began
In February 2017, we built our first WordClock – at that time still as a basement project, developed entirely in our spare time alongside a full-time job by founder and inventor Frithjof Maschke. Simply to show how it’s done – and what’s possible. How you have to break with everything old in order to create something truly ingenious.

Our most important resource
Our most important resource is ourselves. Our team is made up of very diverse members who bring together the best from all over the world. What matters here is that everyone can rely on each other blindly and that each person has the absolute will to drive the company forward. With us, there is no fear of mistakes or of not being at the top anymore one day. Every single person always gives their full effort – out of the joy of winning. Nobody is afraid to try something new, even if it doesn’t exist anywhere else yet or doesn’t seem necessary, because we are already at the forefront. The will to push even further always prevails with us.
Build sustainably
We are a young team, so sustainability is of course an essential part of who we are. We support schools, kindergartens, and of course students. We even launched a mini version of the WordClock that children can assemble themselves in class to learn more about electronics, build their own strengths, and boost their confidence. In all these initiatives we have of course not made any profit, but kept things neutral or even contributed significantly ourselves (especially in other countries). For us, sustainability also naturally means avoiding plastic wherever possible and designing the entire interior of the clock with untreated wood (a fast-growing raw material). Together with DHL, we use the ECO shipping option to ensure that our planet’s limited resources are not consumed excessively or too quickly. We are very happy that you like our clock. Even if it sounds cheesy: seeing the WordClock Jupiter being unboxed with a happy smile means a lot to us.
